Foil Blocking

The process of foil blocking or hot foil stamping has gradually evolved from similar processes that were used hundreds of years ago.

Production
Foil blocking, is the application of pigment or metallic foil to leather where a heated die (engraved metal piece) is stamped onto the foil, making it adhere to the surface and leaving the design of the die on the Leather. The foil used to be only available in gold or silver, but can now be various coloured foil, which is a flat opaque colour. Please note we are unable to match any customer corporate colours, only use the closes available foil colour where appropriate.

From the Finalised artwork, a reverse metal die is created for each colour foil to be applied. The dies are heated and then stamped with enough pressure to seal a thin layer of foil to the leather. Foil blocking creates a special end result – offering a metallic finish over fine or larger areas.

An extensive range of colours and finishes are available from pastels to metallic.

Velbond

For many years we have offered our specialist Velbond material. This is a mix of a heat change PU material, with a recycled leather backing. The texture of the surface has a soft feel, that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The nature of the material allows the use of heat embossing (blind embossing). The heat used, will then change the details of your design to embellish the product in a deeper, darker colour. We offer a full range of cloud effect colours within our product range.

Digital Printing

In recent years, with the developing of printing technology, there are more solutions for leather product printing.

With a big investment in our time and capitol, we now use some of the latest technology. To bring you full colour digitally printed products, with full colour stunning, premium-quality photographs, graphics and text. On to almost any of our White Recycled Leather goods.

UV printing is a form of digitally printing that uses ultraviolet light to cure the ink, as it is printing. However, unlike other printers we have sourced, ECO-UV ink that cures instantly on the surface of the material, allowing us to print your design directly, without the use of any other chemicals. Any background colour or design, can also be added to the whole of the item. All we ask is for good quality vectored images.
